La Côte d’Azur, thanks to its favourable geographical situation, its warm climate and the beauty of its landscape has been developing TOURISM for many years.
Its remarkable hotel capacities and wonderful situation allowed us to elaborate our project “TRAVELEAST” which will take its unique place among numerous events already existing in the Côte d’Azur.

TRAVELEAST Central and Eastern European Travel Market

History, art, traditions, charm of the peoples, cuisine as well as the beauty of the Central and Eastern European countries are not very well known among the tourism professionals yet.
The end of the planned economies and a newly-achieved openness in the Eastern Europe have created a need for the governments and the businessmen to communicate, and to establish new contacts in order to develop their markets :

The TOURISM is one of the best ways for a country to become known and even to attract new investors. The tourism business in general needs to offer new destinations as clients become more and more demanding. The Central and Eastern European countries are deemed to be very promising destinations.

Therefore it is important and necessary to make the sellers and the buyers know these products
This is the reason why we created TRAVELEAST, the first Travel Market for Central and Eastern Europe.

COUNTRIES LIKELY TO PARTICIPATE

Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan 

GOAL
To establish relations between tourist companies of the Eastern and the Western so as to promote new destinations and bring there their clients. In other terms the objective of the TRAVELEAST is a growth of tourism in Central and Eastern Europe.

DURATION

3 DAYS, for the professionals

DATES

To be defined later according to other tourist fairs accommodation capacities of the hotels (low season) as well as plans of major tour operators. We propose November 2010 or March 2011.

PLACE

NICE – ACROPOLIS PALACE.

TRAVELEAST FAIR

An exhibition area can admit about 100 stands.
During the fair all major TOURISM PRODUCTS of the of the Central and Eastern European countries will be on the spot: Accommodation, land transport, air transport, spas, entertainment, etc.
This implies that the companies providing all kinds of tourism products will participate to the fair.

ACCOMODATION
Hotels, Rural gîtes, Campings, Home rentals, Clubs, Holiday rentals, Restaurants.

TRAVELLING
Incoming Travel Agencies, Local Tour Operators .

TOURISME SERVICES
Participation of Cities, Local and National tourist offices

BUSINESS TRAVELLING
Congress et Seminars organisers, Congress and Exhibition Palaces.

ENTERTAINMENT
Leisure and Culture activities, Museums, Shows, Operas, etc. 

SELLERS – BUYERS

1 – Providing law and technical support by forming an organisation Committee (including national and international members)
2 – Distribution of technical documentation to the exhibitors concerning their participation.
3 – A technical guide of meetings will be drafted to include scheduled meetings.
Information given by the sellers (including their products and commercial profiles) and buyers.
A practical guide to the exhibition will be developed based on information provided by the exhibitors and mailed to all visitors. The guide will include details of the products on exhibition and a profile of each of the companies exhibiting.
The guide will enable visitors to select, in advance, the companies they wish to meet with and which products they want to investigate further.
4 – MEETINGS
* 8 up to 10 meetings a day will be organized before the participants arrive (the will receive a schedule of meetings on the first day of the fair)
* The last afternoon is destined for non-scheduled meetings.
5 – GOVERNMENTAL ORDER
We will transmit a governmental order to airline companies which will offer a 75 % discount on air tickets to ALL THE PARTICIPANTS.
6 - EXHIBITORS (about 100 stands)
More than 20 Eastern European countries,
Chambers of Commerce and Industry
National and local tourist offices,
Accommodation: hotels, clubs, rentals etc..
Transport: air, maritime and land, Tour Operators and Incoming Travel Agencies.
Congress organisers., Business travel: congress palaces, Press

EXHIBITION STANDS
An area allocated to each country is called SPACE or CROSSROADS inside of which the above-mentioned exhibitors will be placed. The exhibition stands are 9 m2 with a possible 3 m2 extension.
